![]() ![]() She was portrayed very realistically – not every day in a Christian’s life is sunshine and daisies, and there are times when we have to trust the Lord even when our flesh shouts at us to doubt Him. She’s the most relatable character for me, and I could understand her questions and her battle to cling to the truth even when life was going sideways. I wish I could be half as brave and kind as he is! Merri … I love her. First off, Tony … my poor Tony! Dude is a complete trooper. For some reason, I feel as if those are less popular these days? But it’s great to be able to come back to characters you already know. Though I’m not sure how resolved it actually was, and that makes for one suspenseful read!Ĭharacters: It’s fun to have a series all about the same characters. ![]() That cliffhanger at the end of book one might get resolved … slightly. ![]() After reading the first book in this series, Fled for Refuge, there’s a definite need to read the following book in a hurry. ![]()
